WVU Board of Governors announced composition of the Search Committee.

WVU Board of Governors Ad Hoc Governance Committee will begin working with key constituency groups for the groups to develop the nomination slate.

WVU will post received public comments and an amended version of BOG Governance Rule 1.3 – Presidential Selection, Contracts, and Evaluation based upon the comments received.

WVU Board of Governors will hold a Special Meeting to approve the finalized version of BOG Governance Rule 1.3 – Presidential Selection, Contracts, and Evaluation.

Deadline for nominations for the Search Committee due to the WVU Board of Governors Ad Hoc Governance Committee.

WVU Board of Governors will hold a Special Meeting to announce the selection of the Search Firm and to endorse the members of the Search Committee.

Approved BOG Governance Rule 1.3 – Presidential Selection, Contracts, and Evaluation becomes effective.

On-campus and statewide listening sessions (virtual and in person) with key stakeholders from July through mid-September. These sessions will be conducted by the Search Firm and Search Committee to seek input on the qualities/qualifications/attributes we seek in our next President. In addition to the listening sessions, there will be an online survey to facilitate input from an even broader audience.

Incorporating feedback from the listening sessions, a position announcement and Leadership Profile will be developed and approved by the Board.

Oct. 11

WittKieffer will launch the Presidential Leadership Profile and officially begin accepting applications and nominations.

Fall

Search Committee will begin screening candidates and conducting interviews.

Spring

WVU Board of Governors will conduct finalist interviews and select the 27th President of WVU.

Summer

New President takes office.
